Watch Your Mouth at the Legislature
skcdc award

Our day at the Legislature followed the Valentines Day storm and closure of State government, and the roads were still wind swept and slippery. Nevertheless SKCDC, minus the children that had hoped to participate, received an award for their good work on oral health. We also had six intrepid souls who came and sought out their legislators to talk about oral health.

Every legislator received a Watch Your Mouth lunchbox filled with with WYM goodies ( golf balls, not candy) thanks to the endorsement of Senator Elizabeth Mitchell and Representative Elizabeth Miller.

Legislation Update

The following bills have been printed
LD 637 "An Act To Limit Mercury Exposure"
LD 282 "An Act To Provide Dental Care for Pregnant Women and New Mothers Receiving MaineCare Benefits"

LD 553 "An Act To Allow for Corporate Ownership of Dental Practices"
